Missing BTS Hours
Missing BTS Hours is a show where we miss BTS way too much and talk about them during their enlistment hiatus era. We will look at BTS’s current news despite the lack of new content and learn about a few ARMY’s connections to the group. It’s a show that really explains why their absence affects current K-pop/western music media and ARMY, including how their rise to fame came about! Does teamwork make the dream work? I’d like to think so. Follow the pod on Instagram at @missingbtshours for updates from your host and longtime ARMY, Cindy!

In this episode of Missing BTS Hours, Cindy is joined by friend and fellow OG ARMY, KC Estrada. The pair discuss their love for the group, and how it positively impacted their lives while acknowledging the healing power of BTS’ music. This is more than just dishing out the fangirling energy they both have; it’s reminiscing the days they were baby ARMY and its effect on their mental health and fan experience.

Emergency town hall meeting right now! We are discussing RM’s documentary, “Right Person, Wrong Place.” This documentary was all about the “Right Place, Wrong Person” album and the many pieces within its production from RM and HYBE’s studios to the streets of the outskirts of Tokyo for photoshoots.

Let’s chat about BTS’s awards and recognitions from 2017 onwards. I’ll recap some of their big moments and share my thoughts on how the fandom reacted during the height of pre-pandemic ARMY discourse. We’ll also talk about what I believe to be the biggest trophy they (never) received. Success comes with flaws so we will discuss some of the critiques they’ve faced surrounding their mainstream position in and out of K-pop.

About Your Host
I’m Cindy and I love to yap about BTS with anyone willing to lend their ears. <3
The picture to the right is me outside the Forum waiting for Hozier in September!
As ARMY continues to endure BTS’ military enlistment period, their absence has made me realize how important their music and personas are to my creative life! I often feel inspired to write and be a better person when I hear their music or even the silly things like watching their music videos and content such as Run BTS episodes. I'm reminiscing about the almost daily live streams Jungkook would record in his home before enlistment.
Their past music videos and content are nostalgic to me these days because of this enlistment era. A comeback I remember waiting for was Love Yourself and it remains with me as a happy fangirling memory and adds to my nostalgia. Past comebacks like Wings and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life are pieces of art that made me pay attention to their music's themes of self-love, success despite adversities, the importance of community and fearlessly living the lives we want.
Another important detail: Yoongi is my bias! Since day 1 :) He is willing to tell very personal stories including his previous mental health struggles. This isn’t easy to share and I relate to his story.
It’s only a few more months until we get them back together as a unit. I am excited to share my takes and those from other ARMY soon! <3
